Fourties

_____For the past bit I've been looking at, loving, and drawing things out of the series of Everyday Fashions of the ____s As Pictured In Sears Catalogs. It's been a very good series for getting pictures of the different decades of fashion so far!
_____As I said, I've been drawing some of the designs I like out of it, and these are what I have!
I decided while I was bored yesterday (go Sundays?) that I would print out some copies and paint them, so here is my boredom as well! Everyday Fashions of the Forties:

I love the colors of the rightmost dress in this one, even though this was, essentially, scribbling with a paintbrush.

_____Also, over the weekend I made a skirt out of my dad's old collared striped shirt. I'll post pictures of it soon! I'm surprised that my sewing skills were enough to make it have only a minor amount of failure, not the major fail I thought it might be. : )
